According to article 6 and 7 of the Statute, the Association In Favour of Sustainable Development of Poland fulfilled its aims through:

  1. Organising symposia and conferences
  2. Participation of the Association members in symposia and conferences
  3. Organising exhibitions
  4. Publishing activity
  5. Sponsoring training, exhibitions, etc.

On 3 March 2001, together with the Nowe Panstwo Fund and PC (Central Aliance Party), in the Press Centre at Foksal St. In Warsaw, the Association organised a conference entitled "Conditions of the right wing success". Then, the Association worked out a chapter on managing natural resources in the PiS (Low and Justice Party) programme.

From 24 to 28 September 2001, in Tuczno, the Association together with the Department of Landscape Architecture of , the Warsaw Agricultural University the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the Information Centre of State Forests, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany organised X European Carabidologist Meeting. 86 carabidologists from all over the world participated in the meeting. Within the symposium, in conference halls of Tuczno castle, two photographic exhibitions of works by dr Stanislaw Kinelski and Prof. Andrzej Lesniak were organised. Also, in an old stage coach station in Tuczno, a painting exhibition (opened at the symposium) was organised in which students of Landscape Architecture showed their works. A field trip to the Drawienski National Park was also organised for the symposium participants. The trip took place together with a canoe trip presenting natural heritage of the region. From 16 to 18 November 2001, in Skierniewice, together with the Academic Centre of Ecological Education of the Student Independent Association, another conference in the series: natural resources - chances or obstacles to economic development, entitled "Environmental Protection - Pros and Cons" was organised.

On 10 January 2002, the Association together with the Architecture of Landscape Department of the Warsaw Agricultural University and Teatr Nowy in Warsaw signed "Cooperation Agreement". Within the range of the agreement the following has been arranged.

On 16 May, 2002, together with the above mentioned and the Board of Polish Hunting Association and the Academic Centre of Ecological Education NZS, another conference in the series "Natural resources - a chance or an obstacle to economic development, entitled "Hunting - Pros and Cons" was organised. There was also an exhibition opened at the foyer and presenting hunting trophies from the Department of the Forest Protection and Ecology of the Warsaw Agricultural University of photos showing nature taken by Andrzej Wierzbieniec and by some winners of Wlodzimierz Puchalski contest, as well as pictures on hunting taken by Jan Rylke and Joanna Krzyszton. The following papers were delivered:

  • Dr Lech Bloch - History of Polish Hunting
  • Dr Wojciech Ciepielak - What do Polish people know about hunting?
  • Prof. Jan Szyszko - Managing wildlife animals populations.

After a panel discussion, a hunters music concert played on horns was performed by the Polish Hunting Association Band. There was also a meal prepared of hunters dishes.

From 1 to 5 May 2002 and from 29 May to 1 June 2002, the Association together with the Initiative Group of Landscape Architecture Students and the Centre for Evaluation of Natural Resources of the Landscape Architecture Department organised an international seminar together with workshops entitled "Landscape Architecture as a basic element of native species protection". The event gained some financial support from the National Fund for Environment Protection and Water Management.

Seminars and workshops took place in research rooms of the Centre for Evaluation of Natural Resources of the Landscape Architecture Department of the Warsaw Agricultural University in Tuczno. The following professors read their papers:

  • Prof. Marek Budzynski - Realisation of architecture projects and possibilities of using native species for them
  • Prof. Jan Rylke - Landscape Architecture as an element of Polish art.
  • Prof. Michael Abs - Factors determining birds occurrence
  • Prof. Jan Szyszko - Factors determining certain animal species occurrence

The outdoor part of the seminar was conducted by Prof. Jan Szyszko and MSc. Izabela Dymitryszyn. Some natural materials in a field and forest area called "Krzywda" were collected. During an open air painting in the area sketches and painting were made entitled "Landscape and its functioning". A plan for "Krzywda" area landscape functioning was presented at an exhibition of the students paintings. The exhibition, entitled "Natural Garden, Artificial Garden - Paradise and Kitsch", included as well garden exhibits formed on the basis of both native animals and plants species and artificial exhibits. The exhibition was organised in old, monumental buildings in Tuczno and opened for local people to visit.
